Stacked Housing

The Rotterdam district of Katendrecht has been regarded as one of Rotterdam's hotspots for years. The area is still under development, but in a few years the Rijnhaven district will be comparable to the London Docklands or the Meatpacking District in New York. The former harbour area is being transformed into an attractive urban district. Stebru is developing and building De Groene Kaap in the entrance area of Katendrecht; 450 new rental and owner-occupied homes in four sturdy harbour buildings with five towers that are connected by courtyards, walkways and roof gardens. 

We supplied five complete air handling units in a special Cera System version for Stacked housing in 2020. The CERA System is a new ventilation concept for use in Stacked housing. A silent and compact CERA unit will be installed in the house, and it will communicate with the central air handling unit on the roof via control technology. Fresh air will then be brought into the homes throughout the day and night based on local CO2 measurements.
We supplied five air handling units for the De Groene Kaap project in Rotterdam. Each residential tower has its own central air handling unit, which communicates with the CERA unit in each home. A unique ventilation system for which Rosenberg made the calculations and designed the air handling unit to achieve the lowest possible EPC.
