The new Grozette production facility in Woerden was equipped with our plastic Liberty air handling units last week. Grozette has been processing cheese into fresh and dry cheese products for retail, food service and industry in various cutting and packaging formats since 1963. Grozette currently exports to 30 countries worldwide and has 115 employees.
Grozette wants to obtain the Outstanding certificate. This is why a considerable number of sustainable measures have been included in the design. The most innovative element is the climate control in collaboration with the drying production line. The heat – cold balance is designed in such a way that the energy released to cool the storage is used to dry cheese. Careful selection of air handling units with a low air velocity keeps energy and maintenance costs sustainably low.
Thanks to a long and valuable collaboration with Engie Refrigeration for air treatment in cheese production, we were also able to provide Grozette with 5 plastic air treatment units of 5,000 m³/h, 50,000 m³/h, 70,000 m³/h, 32,000 m³/h, and 2 x 18,000 m³/h. The high humidity in combination with very corrosive air is no problem for the Liberty casings. Plastic cannot rust, while the critical components are made of high-quality stainless steel. The high requirements of the food industry meant the air handling units were produced in a hygienic version.
