IS YOUR OFFICE HEALTHY?
A good indoor climate in offices is important to create a healthy and comfortable working environment. The consultant or designing installer draws up the plan and technical specifications. It is often not easy to translate your objectives into technical requirements. What is good ventilation, and what is good enough? To help you translate your wishes into your requirements, Indoor Climate Netherlands and TVVL have provided handy support with the Dutch Program of Requirements Healthy Offices 2021.
FROM HEALTHY WISHES TO HEALTHY DEMANDS
The Program of Requirements for Healthy Offices allows you to choose class A, B or C for each one of four themes. Class A is the highest level and class C corresponds to the legal requirements of the Building Decree. The themes are: Air quality, Thermal indoor climate, Light and Sound. The PVE Healthy Offices 2021 is available as a document (Available to download in Dutch here), but also as a handy web tool. We advise you to opt for Class A regarding Air Quality and Thermal Indoor Climate. The hygiene of our completely smooth composite air handling units means you can enjoy filtered fresh outdoor air with few harmful gases and particulate matter.
SAFE VENTILATION
If you opt for an indoor climate class A, the ventilation will be at 60 m³/h per person. This is more than sufficient in many cases, but it may not be enough in a number of specific situations such as meeting rooms. To reduce the risk of contamination, we advise you not only to follow the RIVM guidelines, but to supplement them with extra ventilation to reduce the transmission route through the air.
SUITABLE DESIGN
Once the requirements for a healthy indoor climate have been established, it is important to realise the requirements with a sustainable design and the lowest possible energy consumption. The consultant or designing installer can design a sustainable installation that helps set independent quality requirements for the installation components. These quality requirements are laid down in the guidelines “Design and reality” van Binnenklimaat Netherlands. See our Direct Quotation Tool for a quick estimate of your air handling unit.
A composite air handling unit with a Eurovent energy label A is a good start for your sustainable and energy-efficient office. The Life Cycle Cost calculation from Indoor Climate Netherlands provides a lot of certainty and assurance that you are getting the most suitable implementation for your project. For example, it is easy to compare up to three different air handling units in terms of energy, maintenance and investment costs with each calculation. You can do this calculation yourself with this handy web tool: www.vlalcc.nl. You can also contact your account manager or our Knowledge Center.
